First Pregnancy

Here is a rundown of my running during the first pregnancy. Like I said, unfortunately I did not keep a detailed log of running during that time. However, since it wasn’t too long ago, I do remember some things so I’ll add in what comes across this brain of mine.

– running at 16 weeks {I was working full time, still had some morning sickness, so getting out of the door was hard. I did my best, and my runs were maybe 3-4 times a week, no more than 3 or 4 miles at a time}

– my recap at 37 weeks

– Beach to Bay relay marathon at 20 weeks, in which my leg was close to 5 miles

– A BRUTAL 8k at 23 weeks. I ran/walked this one, as it was way too hot, and I shouldn’t have been out there. Hence, the run/walk.

– Carraba’s Half Marathon Relay at 25 weeks. I think my leg was only 2 or 3 miles.

– After the half marathon relay, I continued running for a couple of weeks. I had to stop running at 27 weeks due to the record-breaking Texas heat – we had 100 days of over 100 degrees. I did use the elliptical, and I walked on the treadmill at work until I had our daughter at 39 weeks.
